Angeliq tablets (drospirenone/estradiol), with the unique hormone drsp, offer rapid relief from moderate to severe menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats and vaginal dryness in a once-a-day pill.
Angeliq:
- -Provides rapid relief from moderate to severe menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats

- -Offers combination (estrogen and progestin) hormone therapy (HT) in a once-a-day pill

Angelic has been proven to effectively relieve moderate to severe hot flashes, night sweats and
vaginal symptoms.
In clinical trials, on average, women had almost a 30% reduction in hot flashes and night sweats after the first week. Four weeks after starting Angeliq, symptoms had dropped by 70% and by 12 weeks, symptoms were reduced by 90%
Indications Hormone replacement therapy for estrogen deficiency symptoms in postmenopausal women >1 yr post menopause. Prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis.
Dosage: 1 tab daily for 28 days.
Administration
May be taken with or without food (Take at the same time each day. Swallow whole, do not chew/crush.)
Contraindications Undiagnosed genital bleeding, breast & endometrial cancer, untreated endometrial hyperplasia, DVT, pulmonary embolism, angina, MI, liver disease, porphyria, severe renal insufficiency or acute renal failure.
Precautions
Leiomyoma or endometriosis, thromboembolic disorders, risk factors for estrogen-dependent tumours, HTN, liver disorders, diabetes mellitus, cholelithiasis, migraine or headache, SLE, history of endometrial hyperplasia, epilepsy, asthma, otosclerosis.
Adverse Drug Reactions
GI disturbances, asthenia, pain in extremity, headache, mood swings, hot flushes, nervousness, benign breast neoplasms, breast enlargement, enlarged uterine fibroids, cervix neoplasm, leukorrhea, breakthrough bleeding, back or pelvis pain, chills, malaise, migraine, HTN, chest pain, palpitations, varicose veins, venous thrombosis, superficial thrombophlebitis, vasodilatation, increased appetite, abnormal liver function test, edema, wt gain, hyperlipidemia, muscle cramps, arthralgia, insomnia, dizziness, decreased libido, impaired conc, paresthesia, increased sweating, anxiety, dry mouth, vertigo, dyspnea, alopecia, skin or hair disorder, hirsutism, taste disturbance, vulvovaginitis, endometrial or cervical disorder, dysmenorrhea, ovarian cyst.
Interactions
Hydantoins, barbiturates, primidone, carbamazepine, rifampicin, penicillins, tetracyclines. Caution when used with antihypertensives.
