Contents
Per puff of Berodual MDI: Ipratropium Br 0.02 mg, fenoterol HBr 0.05 mg.
Indications
As a bronchodilator for the prevention and treatment of symptoms in chronic obstructive airway disorders with reversible bronchospasm eg, bronchial asthma and especially chronic bronchitis with or without emphysema. Concomitant anti-inflammatory therapy should be considered for patients with bronchial asthma and steroid-responsive chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Dosage
Adult & childn >6 yr:
1-2 puffs tid, up to a max of 8 puffs/day.
Contraindications
Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, tachyarrhythmia. Hypersensitivity to fenoterol or atropine-like substances.
Precautions
Insufficiently controlled diabetes mellitus, recent MI, severe organic heart or vascular disorders, hyperthyroidism, phaeochromocytoma, prostatic hypertrophy or bladder-neck obstruction, patients predisposed to narrow-angle glaucoma, cystic fibrosis. Pregnancy, lactation.

Per Berodual Forte unit dose vial:
Ipratropium Br 0.5 mg, fenoterol HBr 1.25 mg
Indications
To prevent & treat symptoms of COPD with reversible bronchospasm eg bronchial asthma & especially chronic bronchitis with or without emphysema. Corticosteroid may be used concomitantly.
Dosage
Adult & childn >12 yr
Treatment of attacks: 1 vial. Severe cases: 2 vials.
Intermittent & long-term treatment: 1 vial qid.
Precautions
