Encephabol Indications
Encephabol is indicated during the later years for symptoms such as poor memory and conentration, sleep disorders, reversal of sleep rhythm and emotional lability.
Symptoms of cerebral insufficiency due to metabolic & circulatory disturbances of the brain, conditions after craniocerebral trauma, apoplectic strokes, intoxications & encephalitis.
Disturbances in psychic & mental development in childn & adolescents.
Encephabol Dosage
Adult 300-600 mg daily.
Childn 50-300 mg daily. Continue for ≥6-8 wk.
Administration
Should be taken with food (Take with a large glass of water. Swallow whole, do not chew/crush).
Contraindications
RA patients w/ severe kidney & liver function disorders, serious changes in blood counts; auto-immune diseases w/ lupus erythematosus, myasthenia, pemphigus.
Adverse Drug Reactions
Rarely, skin rash, rise in temp, GI & hepatic disorder, taste disturbances, over-excitability symptoms, single cases of pemphigus-like skin reactions & lichen planus.
